Lightbulb Moment for today...
From the Message in Exodus 6:9...
"But when Moses delivered this message to the Israelites, they didn't even hear him—they were that beaten down in spirit by the harsh slave conditions."
It got me thinking...what is beating me down and causing me to "not even hear" or see what God is doing in my life? There are always things that are at us...Satan is ONLY out to tear us down and destroy us and we need to always be aware of this.
What is beating you down today? Talk to God about it...
Second...
Exodus 6:20 and Exodus 7:1
And Moses answered, "Look at me. I stutter. Why would Pharaoh listen to me?
God told Moses, "Look at me."
This made me laugh because I do this so often and God tries to tell me that very same thing.
I say "but God...look at me...I can't do this or I don't know if I can do this..."
And God says, "Look at me...I can do that and I know that you can do it too!"
Ouch...Ouch and more Ouch
Have a great weekend!

American Idol recap 2.17
I was talking to my mom about Idol and told her to talk about the singers and I would tell her what I thought too...so here goes:
This is what she said and my comments are in bold:
My guess on who will make the Top 3:
1. Danny Gokey
2. Rickey Braddy
3. Jackie Tohn/Alexis Grace/Ann Marie Boskovich could all make it...but I'll pick Alexis Grace
there you have it...what do you think?

Worrying
I've posted about worry before. However, I just wanted to pass along this too...
Last week, we had this "thing" that was causing Sarah and me to be well...worried. It had caused us cause for concern since last July! Seriously...
The time came for this thing to be taken care of and it turned out completely different and so much better than what we were told or expected. It got me to thinking...
When was the last time that I worried about something...anything...and after that thing happened...did any of my worrying matter?
No matter if that thing turned out good or bad...my worrying didn't matter. I always have to deal with the thing when it happens no matter how much or how little that I worried or "thought" about that thing.
"Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them."If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.
"Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes."
Matthew 6:27-34 (The Message)
May God allow you to live your life...don't live tomorrow or the next day. Live today...you can't live tomorrow today so don't freak out about it! Seriously...live your life

Renewal Weekend 09
What a great time. In years past we have spent a lot of time with just one couple and really neglected getting to know a lot of the other couples in our district. This year was different. We really "got around" in a good way. We got to spend some great time with The Farmer's and Lee's and really were glad to have made those connections. You always go home from things like this and say to yourself, "we should have spend time with (fill in the blank)"...not this year. What a great group of leaders this district has and I really appreciate them all. We are looking forward to getting together more often with the couples. Jeff planned another great weekend!
